With the selling of used HDPE pipe came the increased volume of scrap ends and pieces of pipe (i.e. waste) and thus the concept expanded to continue the recycling process. Legacy HDPE has developed a manufacturing branch and a sheet production line to take this unusable plastic and produce 100%-recycled sheet material. Within the growth of the manufacturing branch, Legacy HDPE is a provider of marine platforms centered on durable high-density polyethylene (HDPE) material. Legacy HDPE takes its clients through an interactive experience with the concept, design, construction, and finalization of a platform fully equipped and ready to go to work. We thrive on small transport/work platforms under 30 feet in length overall, equipped with electric bow doors, hydraulic crane/winch combinations, outboard engines, and any details necessary for a platform to perform its specific function. HDPE material provides many unique and favorable characteristics for marine construction including UV, fatigue, chemical, and abrasion resistance; anti-fouling; and much more. HDPE is 100%- recyclable to ease the process of disposal once the useful life of a platform has been achieved. We have expanded our potential market to government contracts.
