Established in 2017, the UK is the latest country to have a subsidiary of Andermatt Biocontrol. Andermatt UK will be a leader in biological pest monitoring and control technologies for the agriculture and horticulture industries. Our portfolio of monitoring traps, insecticides, fungicides and fertilizers are flexible tools suitable for both organic and integrated growing systems. The market leading products will be accompanied by multi-platform user support to achieve the best product performance. Our philosophy is to provide pest monitoring systems to allow correct identification of the problem and when action thresholds are passed. We then to provide effective biological control solutions to manage the identified problem. Our products and support can be found either online (www.andermattuk.com) or through the traditional horticulture and agriculture distribution network. With the number of chemical pesticides available to farmers decreasing, monitoring for specific pests to identify when they are present, and more importantly when a Take Action threshold is reached, is increasingly important. Andermatt offer a range of pheromone traps to catch a range of commercially important lepidoptera. Our moth trap products cover a diverse range of pests and crops including apple (codling moth, summer fruit tortrix), ornamentals, vegetables (diamondback moth) and grapes (grape berry moth and grapevine moth). We also have a rang of attractant traps and liquid attractant for catching spotted wing drosophila (SWD). Once action is needed, Andermatt have a range of biocontrol products which include baculovirus insecticides against codling moth (Madex Top) and summer fruit tortrix (Capex), Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) insecticides against various caterpillars and beneficial nematodes (Nematop® and Nemaplus®) against black vine weevil and sciarid fly.
