Alain Moueix Le domaine de Fonroque étend ses 17.60 hectares de vignobles à quelques centaines de mètres au nord-ouest du bourg de Saint-Emilion. Il se répartit sur un plateau calcaire et un coteau exposé à l'ouest. Berceau de la Famille Moueix qui s'y installe dès 1931, le Château Fonroque est également pionnier en biodynamie à Bordeaux : les travaux et la mise en place de la biodynamie par Alain Moueix ont conduit le Château Fonroque à être le tout premier grand cru classé certifié en biodynamie en 2008. Il continue d'apporter son expertise au sein de la propriété acquise en 2017 par la Famille Guillard. « Choosing Biodynamic in 2002 was a transgression, a journey, a quest for intellectual satisfaction. Alain Moueix Château Fonroque extends its 17,6 hectares of vines a few hundred metres north west of the village of Saint-Emilion. The vineyard is spread over a limestone plateau and a west-facing hillside. The family Moueix settled down in Château Fonroque in 1931, making Château Fonroque their first home in Saint-Emilion. The estate is also the pioneer in biodynamic in the Bordeaux region: the work undertook by Alain Moueix led Château Fonroque to be the first ever grand cru classé to hold the biodynamic certification in 2008. Alain Moueix keeps providing his expertise and skills for the estate which was acquired by the Guillard Family in 2017.
