Connections Arts Centre (CAC) is an award-winning not-for-profit social enterprise founded in March 2021 by Miriam Spollen. Based in Ireland, CAC is dedicated to supporting the disability community through art, heritage, and cultural activities. The organization aims to break down barriers and foster inclusion for people with disabilities, addressing challenges such as isolation and limited opportunities. CAC operates several programs designed to promote creativity and community engagement. The Connecting Artists Programme helps visual artists with intellectual disabilities develop their skills and culminates in an exhibition. The Creative TY Connections Programme pairs transition year students with individuals with disabilities to enhance life skills. Additionally, CAC offers weekly programs in art, drama, music, and yoga at its Rathgar Centre, along with bespoke programs tailored to the needs of various disability organizations. Since its inception, CAC has engaged over 2,125 participants and plans to expand its support for artists and exhibitions in the coming years.
