The History of Expert Die Inc. When Eric Barr started a new business in his family's barn back in 1993, he never dreamed that it would someday be in a 15,000 square foot facility, have a fleet of vehicles, and employ 28+ people. Being located in the Carpet Capital, Expert Die Inc. began making dies to cut samples for the carpet industry. As the housing industry migrated towards hardwood and tile, so did Expert Die. We have evolved over the years to meet the need of our customers. Today Expert Die sharpens and sales blades for many different industries including carpet, hardwood, cabinet manufacturing, displays, samples, recycling, plastic injection and auto manufacturing, just to name a few. We also have a full machine shop. We serve areas in North Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, and North Georgia, including the Atlanta area. Expert Die Inc. is the only Freud Authorized Sharpening Center in Georgia, and we are a commercial industrial distributor for Freud. We are also a distributor for Amana, Whiteside, Southeast Tool, Onsrud, and Freeborn, FS Tool, and many others. For over 20 years our philosophy has been exceptional customer service.
