At Grix VC, we aim to be the best first capital partner for B2B software founders. With $50m+ in AUM and a relatively concentrated approach, we bring a unique blend of institutional expertise and hands-on passion to a critical stage. Our two north stars: Do everything in our power to (1) help each founder/portfolio company have the most successful outcome possible; (2) help each founder grow, develop and find joy in the challenging journey. We do this by striving to show up the right way every day - with enthusiasm and positivity ("juice!"), intellectual curiosity, hard work and total integrity/honesty. At the end of the day, how we treat people and show up for them is the most important thing. What type of founders do we look for? (While holding ourselves accountable to the same standard!) - Coachable and curious: eager to learn, to ask questions, and admit what you don't know. - Deep sense of stewardship for the capital and investment. Means something to you that people believe in you early. - Total integrity and transparent. No "hiding the ball" or obscuring facts. Our chances of success will increase if we are seeing everything clearly. - Passionate grinder! Running a startup is not a 9 to 5 job and shouldn't be a "job". It should be a passion and a mission and you want to run through walls to make a meaningful impact in the world. If that doesn't resonate, think hard about jumping into this 10+ year commitment. It's often not as sexy as the TechCrunch articles would have you believe. ;) - Not afraid to sell! The only way to find product market fit (which is THE lynchpin to startup success) is by actively selling your idea/MVP/etc. day after day after day.
