Smart Grid Communications Power Tagging has created a patent pending technology that allows the injection of a persistent, fully encrypted digital signal into the electric distribution grid. The technology makes any load on the grid schematically aware or "Grid Location Aware™". The electric distribution grid requires dynamic and real-time feedback to advance to the next level of command and control. Grid Location Awareness is the foundational element the grid requires. By monitoring and controlling elements on the grid in real-time from substation to each endpoint, each individual endpoint can be proactively managed in a deterministic manner. The inherently distributed nature of the electric grid can now be managed natively in real-time enabling a variety of utility applications.
