The Digital Sisterhood (TDS) is a Toronto-based media production startup and digital platform founded by Cadar Mohamud. It focuses on uniting Muslim women of color globally through storytelling and community building. TDS originated from a youth program called Together Sisters and is created by a team of nine Black Muslim women. TDS aims to empower and connect communities by sharing authentic stories that foster empathy and belonging. Its flagship product, The Digital Sisterhood Podcast, launched in 2021, features personal stories from Muslim women and has achieved significant popularity, with millions of listens and views. The platform also serves as a hub for community engagement and storytelling, promoting initiatives that drive social change. TDS has garnered a strong following, with over 100,000 social media followers and listeners in more than 147 countries, and has been featured in various media outlets.
